About EasyHeir

EasyHeir exists to help families plan ahead during some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Too often, important financial and care decisions are made during moments of stress: after a health crisis, during a nursing home admission, or following the loss of a loved one. In those moments, families are left navigating complex rules, unclear timelines, and high-stakes consequences, with very little guidance.

We believe families deserve clear information, thoughtful structure, and the ability to make informed decisions before options become limited.

Founder Background

EasyHeir was founded by an insurance professional with extensive, first-hand experience in preneed funeral planning and legacy-related services.

From 2018 to 2024, the founder served as a producing agent for eFuneral, a subsidiary of Homesteaders Life Insurance Company. During that time, the founder worked directly with families across the country to plan and fund final expenses.

Over that six-year period, the founder helped facilitate more than 22,000 preneed insurance policies, gaining direct exposure to how families approach end-of-life planning, where traditional solutions fall short, and how timing and structure can significantly affect outcomes.

That experience revealed a recurring challenge: many families either needed flexibility to qualify for Medicaid or wanted to plan ahead without being locked into a specific funeral home.

EasyHeir was created to address those gaps: by focusing on education, flexibility, and thoughtful planning that works alongside Medicaid rules and individual family needs.

Education Comes First

Medicaid rules, probate timelines, and financial planning considerations vary widely by state and by individual situation. Because of this, EasyHeir prioritizes education before action. We provide:

State-specific Medicaid qualification guides
Plain-English explanations of complex topics
Resources reviewed regularly for accuracy

Our goal is not to pressure families into decisions, but to help them understand their options clearly and confidently.

How Our Information Is Created and Reviewed

EasyHeir’s educational content is developed using publicly available state Medicaid guidance, administrative rules, and professional reference materials.

Our resources are reviewed regularly to reflect current state-level requirements and are updated when material changes occur. Each state-specific Medicaid guide includes a review date and references where applicable.

Because Medicaid rules vary by state and individual circumstances, our content is designed to inform, not replace, professional or legal guidance.

Why Early Planning Matters

Planning ahead preserves choice. When families take time to understand their options early, they often have more flexibility, fewer surprises, and greater peace of mind. Even modest planning can reduce stress later—for both individuals and their loved ones. EasyHeir was built around a simple belief: thoughtful planning today can make things easier tomorrow.
